The book that I read is shrek by Mark Evanier. the main charecters are shrek fiona donkey and prince farquaad.the setting is in alot of diffrent fairy tales like the little old lady who lived in a shoe. The porblem is that prince farquaade is chasing shrek through all the diffrent storys to kill shrek, because he wants fiona. they go to the wicth in hansel and gretal and she turns himinto a masuito. (the book doesnt have a authers message.) I think the book is really funny. I think the ending maches the book.
The book i am reading is one of the boxcar children books and it is called the mystery of the purple pool. The Author is Gertrude Chandler Warner. Benny, Herny,violet,grandfather and the,Hotel vistors are the main charaters. One problem is that when the boxcar clidren and there grandfather check in the bellhops are not in the building so they have to carry there bags and suitcases to there room on the fivth floor. the boxcar children go to the pool and the check in and benny goes in the pool and the pool is purple. and then when the boxcar children were going to the lobby the eleavator gets stuck and the boxcar children playing games in the eleavator when they get to the lobby and they see karen walsh behind the eleavator and the boxcar children think karen walsh caused all of this trouble.And also the salt and pepper mix up One day we and grandfather were eating and the lobby manger was carring thesse stack of papers and then he drops one and the boxcar children picked it up and read it and it said dear karen walsh i have been causing the purple pool and the eleavator and also the salt and peeper mix up and do not tell anyone ok form the hotel manger. then they went to show the other manger and the other manger said you are fired. I thought that the book was funny becaus ehtere was a lot of action. I would not change it because it is all ready a good book. kayla
The book that read was, Babe and me, by Dan Gutman.
The characters are Babe Ruth, Dad, and Joe. Joe saves Babe Ruth life. Joe is the main character.
Joe and his Dad, time traveled to New York to see Babe Ruth. They went on the train with Babe Ruth to go see Chicago to win the World Series.
Babe got sick from eating too much food that he passed out, Joe pored ice warder on Babe, and he woke up.
The author’s message is that he wanted you to know about, Babe Ruth, and how he won the World Series.
My reaction to this story is I thought Babe would die from eating all that food. I thought I was cool that he won the world series
I would not change the ending the story because we would not have won the World Series and change baseball history.
I am reading The Talking Earth by: Jean Craighead George. The main character is Billie Wind. She doesn't belive in her tribes legends. So then she finds herself having to catch 2 lightning bolts. Along the way a fire strikes her village. She now thinks the serpent is real and he made the fire. She needs to catch them because the councle said that is the only way she will see the legends. So you'll just have to read the book to know the rest! The authors message is the most real things can be the thing we can't see.

the book that i was reading is called the mystery at choclate town and it is by carole marsh. it is a very interesting book. the charectors are chritina, grant,sean and annabell. i like this book because i love mysterys i have alot of her books and they are very good. my favorite part is when the cops say that the kids stole all of the silver dollers! this book is very funny! i love this book. by:abby
the book that i am reading is called how to steal a dog. the auther is barbara o'connor. the main characters in the book are georgina, toby, mama, carmella, mookie, and willy the dog. the story takes place in a car or outside, or in carmellas house. the problem is that georgina and her family are poor and they have no where to live besides in there old car that is all rusty. the solution is that her moms boss no's a place for them to live but it not a house that u were probaly expecting. i think that what the author is trying to teach us is to not steal something then return it to get a prize just tell the truth and they might help u out. stealing is never the right answer. my reaction to the book is prety surprising cause i never new that she was going to steal a dog. i was really really shocked!! i was hoping that she might set up a booth like a lemonade stand or something that would cost like a dollar. i think that i would change the ending because georgina got off a little to easy on that humungous lie!!! any way i think that this was a really good book and i really want u to read it!!

i am reading kill devil hills and it is by Carole marsh. the main characters are papa mimi christina and grant. the problem was that grant was scared to go on the air plane because papa was doing the flying. grant was not when they got in the air because he was doing something else. this is the author's message
that some thing are important to you like the wright brothers. they are good boys because they made a fist fly on there air planes. how i could change the end is they could look at more stuff at kill devil hills.

The author is Billy Hooten. The name of the story is Billy Hooten Owlboy. The main character is Billy Hooten. The problem was he had a cematary and bullies wanted to tear it up. Billy Hooten wanted to save it so that the cemetary from being trashed. He got the name Billy Hooten
Owlboy from saving the cemetary. The author's message is you should never try to mess up something that is important. I like the story because he didn't realize he was super hero until he received his name. He was only trying to help because his grandfather was buried there.
